NYSC DIRECT POSTING SCAM

Reports have surfaced of individuals using WhatsApp to target prospective corps members with promises of “guaranteed NYSC direct posting.”

Victims are asked to make payments, after which communication stops.

This pattern has affected students and graduates preparing for NYSC mobilization.

⚙️ HOW THE SCAM WORKS

  • Contact is initiated via WhatsApp

  • The sender claims insider access to NYSC postings

  • Urgency is introduced (“limited slots,” “closing today”)

  • Payment is requested

  • Contact disappears after payment
